With schools closed and students learning at home, we know this is a tough time for parents and teachers alike. JA of Lincoln wants to help! Along with JA USA, we’ve moved quickly to get a large volume of resources moved online, and we hope they will be valuable to parents, volunteers, teachers, and students. Like all JA programs, everything is available for free to students!
We hope you’ll spread the word about these free resources to the parents, teachers, and students in your life!
New JA Economics Website:
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, JA USA has released the new webpage “How to Understand Economics in Today’s World”, looking specifically at the economics of the current crisis. The webpage includes video vignettes of business volunteers and allows users opportunities to apply the learnings to their personal life.
New Middle School JA Program Videos:
Videos for JA Economics for Success and JA Global Marketplace are now available! Each program includes a video for each of its 6 sessions, and an accompanying at-home activity to reinforce learning. Click here to access the videos.
CNBC and JA Virtual Town Hall:
JA has partnered with CNBC to host "Tomorrows Are More Important Than Ever: A Virtual Town Hall for America's Teens". Hosted by CNBC Senior Personal Finance Correspondent Sharon Epperson, this unique interactive event gave teens across America direct access to some of the country's most knowledgeable economists, entrepreneurs, psychologists and counselors and asked them top-of-mind questions about how to best adapt to the new normal. The panelists offered simple, straightforward strategies to help empower participants to strive toward a bright and successful tomorrow – because tomorrows are more important than ever.
